Pose a Challenge Process

1: Submit challenge form

Fill out the online form describing the overall objective of your challenge, what you are looking for in a partner and the availability of resource to help solve the challenge. When you submit your form you will receive an email acknowledging your submission and the CRACK IT team will be alerted to your challenge.

2: Challenge development

The CRACK IT team will contact you to discuss your challenge and develop the details to be presented to potential partners via the CRACK IT website.

3: CRACK IT treatment: showcasing of your challenge

The CRACK IT team will upload your challenge to the CRACK IT website and you will receive an email confirming this. This will give academia and other interested parties an opportunity to think of a solution to your challenge. The CRACK IT team will also be working behind the scenes to highlight your challenge to contacts with the potential to crack your challenge.

4: Review potential solutions

Potential solutions for your challenge will be submitted through the CRACK IT website and you will receive an email alert when a solution is uploaded. You will be able to view the solution in your CRACK IT account and select the ones you are most interested in following up. The NC3Rs will quality control solutions to ensure no junk messages are received in your CRACK IT account.

5: Choose partners for future work

You will be requested to select whether or not you are interested in a proposed solution and will have the option to give feedback. You will be able to contact potential partners whose solutions you are interested in via email and develop a working relationship. There will be no further involvement from the CRACK IT team at this point although assistance will be available if required. The CRACK IT team may also contact you periodically to request progress updates.
